Popular Nigerian comedian AY Makun has slammed the Super Eagles for failing to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, branding their performance as “a big shame”.

In a sharply worded video outburst, AY expressed disgust with the team’s performance, claiming they shamed the nation despite the huge support they got.

“It’s a shame. Big shame. Even with the referee, everybody try to help una. Big shame,” he said.

He went on to state that the match further proved that without star striker Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles struggle to deliver.

“The other day I dey praise Osimhen, people dey attack me. Well, he commot… he commot for field, full game change. Full game change,” he added.

AY concluded by telling the players to return to their various clubs, maintaining that the entire outcome remains a disgrace.

AY’s rage occurred after Nigeria’s Super Eagles lost their last match against DR Congo yesterday night, meaning the team would not compete in two World Cup championships in a row.

The comedian’s reaction is representative of many Nigerian fans at the moment, with Nigerians joining him in dragging the Super Eagles players.
