The nation’s education sector has recorded a significant milestone with the launch of the Accessible iBook, the first Artificial Intelligence-powered digital textbook created specifically for Nigerian schools.
The groundbreaking innovation, developed by Accessible Publishers Ltd in Ibadan and led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Gbadega Adedapo, is expected to transform teaching and learning nationwide by merging traditional curriculum content with advanced AI-driven tools.
Unveiled as part of the company’s mission to strengthen digital adoption in the education system, the Accessible iBook aligns with the Federal Government’s agenda to deliver equitable, inclusive, and technology-driven learning across all states.
The product provides a unified digital platform where students, teachers, and schools can access high-quality instructional materials on any device, even in areas with low or unstable internet connectivity.
At its core, the Accessible iBook integrates complete Nigerian curriculum, approved textbook content with a suite of AI functions designed to make learning more interactive, efficient, and personalised. Students can access notes, videos, assessments, chapter summaries, and revision tools at any time, while teachers benefit from automation features that significantly reduce workload and enhance the quality of instruction.
One of the most transformative components of the iBook is its AI Lesson Planning Assistant, which automatically generates detailed lesson notes for teachers across all subjects and class levels.
This innovation ensures uniformity in teaching quality, especially in underserved communities where access to trained teachers is limited. By providing ready-to-use lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, the tool improves classroom delivery and helps teachers focus more on student engagement.
