Istifanus makes January NPFL Team of the Month

Nasarawa United midfielder Jofrank Istifanus has enjoyed a remarkable rise in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), earning a place in the January Team of the Month following a series of impressive performances for the Lafia-based club.

Istifanus, who joined Nasarawa United from Camp Pro FC, has quickly established himself as one of the club’s most influential players this season. Since making the step up to Nigeria’s top flight, the attacking midfielder has shown composure, creativity, and maturity beyond his years, becoming a key figure in the Solid Miners’ midfield setup. So far this season, Istifanus has featured in 25 league matches for Nasarawa United  and coming on as a substitute on six occasions. In that time, he has contributed three goals and one assist, underlining his growing attacking influence from midfield. Notably, his discipline has matched his work rate, as he is yet to receive a yellow or red card this campaign. His energy, tactical intelligence, and ability to link play between midfield and attack have been central to the club’s positive run of form, particularly during the month of January. Istifanus’ consistent displays during the period earned him recognition among the league’s standout performers, culminating in his inclusion in the NPFL January Team of the Month, a significant milestone in his debut top-flight campaign.
