American online streamer and YouTube personality Darren Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, shared a humorous exchange with Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday.
The encounter took place in the VIP section of the stadium, where Seyi Tinubu, dressed in a Spain jersey, watched the final alongside his children and other family members as Spain edged Argentina 1-0 after extra time to lift the trophy.
A video from IShowSpeed’s livestream captured the moment one of Seyi Tinubu’s associates informed the streamer that the president’s son was in attendance. The content creator then approached the family, greeted them warmly and posed for photographs with the children.

In response, IShowSpeed jokingly told him, “Tell your dad to get me a Nigerian passport!”, drawing laughter from those around before he continued interacting with fans through his livestream.
Earlier in the day, the 21-year-old internet star featured in the World Cup closing ceremony, opening the pre-match entertainment with a performance of his song, “World Cup (Champions),” accompanied by drummers and dancers.
The light-hearted passport request comes months after IShowSpeed visited Nigeria during his Speed Does Africa tour.
