Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is dead.
Aged 86, Khamenei passed away in the early hours of yesterday, following a United States-Israeli coordinated drone and missile attacks on Iran.
His passing came even as Iran launched a new wave of missile and drone strikes, targeting the US military bases across the region and Israel.
The move by the Iranian authorities was in retaliation to Khamenei’s killing.
Speaking on the turn of events in Iran, the speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said the country had prepared for all scenarios.
