Iran issues stern warning to US over Middle East troop movements

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf

Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States over reported troop deployments to the Middle East, cautioning Washington against testing its resolve amid rising regional tensions.

The warning was delivered by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who said Tehran was closely monitoring American military movements, particularly the reported deployment of additional troops to the region.

His remarks come as reports indicate the US is preparing to send thousands of additional soldiers to reinforce its presence in the Middle East, a move seen as part of a broader military buildup.

In a statement shared on X, Ghalibaf warned that any miscalculation by Washington could have serious consequences.

He also took a swipe at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“We are closely monitoring all US movements in the region, especially troop deployments. What the generals have broke, the soldiers can’t fix; instead, they will fall victim to (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s delusions,” Ghalibaf said.
