The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has commended United States of America Congressman, John James (R-Michigan), over his intervention in Nnamdi Kanu’s case on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.
The pro Biafra group equally lauded the United States Congress for providing the platform that allowed James to show that America remains a blessing to mankind and a defender of the persecuted.
James was reported to have condemned the trial and life sentence imposed on Nnamdi Kanu on the floor of the US Congress, describing it as a sham and demanded a new trial consistent with Nigeria’s constitution and backed by evidence, or, that the IPOB leader should be immediately and unconditionally released.
In a statement, Spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, said what transpired on the floor of the US Congress was historic.

“This is a historic moment. Apart from the great Nelson Mandela, no other African leader in modern times has received such direct spotlight and advocacy on the floor of the United States Congress as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“This singular attention demonstrates the potency of IPOB under the supreme leadership of Onyendu and the administrative competence of the Mazi Chris Nwaọgụ-led 4th Directorate of State (DOS). The Divine Project — 100 men and women of purpose continues to deliver results.
“The world is now fully aware. The sham trials by Justice James Omotosho, the conviction without any written law, and the judicial recklessness have been exposed globally. The impending shame on the Nigerian judiciary will be catastrophic. The truth cannot be buried.”
The statement advised those who want Kanu dead, to watch what transpired at the US and know that Kanu’s case has become a global matter.
The statement added that Nigeria couldn’t prevail against a united and focused Biafran people, as demonstrated in Israel and now the United States.
