It was a debut to remember for one-time Nigeria Football Federation target, Dominic Iorfa, after he came off the bench to net a late equalizer, as Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham United played out a 2-2 draw at AESSEAL New York Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

A former England U-21 international, Iorfa was in the match-day 18 against Reading and Millwall, but was not utilized off the bench in both games and the trend was set to continue, but The Owls manager, Steve Bruce handed the Wolves loanee his debut in the 91st minute.

In the tenth minute of stoppage time, Iorfa equalised, firing home after a goalmouth melee.

Iorfa had only scored once before in the Football League prior to his maiden appearance for Sheffield Wednesday, which was against Nottingham Forest on December 2, 2017.

The 23-year-old described himself as a quick, pacy and versatile defender, who is comfortable on the ball.

Super Eagles star, Semi Ajayi and Michael Ihiekwe were in action for the entirety of the game for The Millers.
