The Federal Government has been urged to involve local hunters in securing Nigeria’s farmsteads, religious houses and forests being ravaged by bandits and terrorists.

The Planter, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, gave the urge during an encounter with journalists at Adamimogo Jesus City Camp, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos, yesterday.

The cleric stated that genuine local hunters have adequate knowledge and traditional means to deal with terrorists and bandits, who have been terrorising Nigeria’s rural environments and faith based organisations.

Olu Alo, who is also the founder of Adamimogo FM Nigeria, encouraged the Federal Government, religious organisations, traditional rulers and people at the grassroots to work with the local hunters.

His words: “Religious leaders should also be involved in the fight against banditry and terrorism. It is our responsibility as ambassadors of God on earth to ensure that there is peace in our country, irrespective of our faith, whether we are Christians, Muslims or traditional believers.

“I have always advocated corporate prayer by all true men of God in Nigeria. Let all the men of God come together and cry to God about Nigeria and see if something spectacular would not happen within 24 hours.”

Olu Alo stated that the joint prayer session should strictly be for church leaders, like General Overseers, church founders, bishops, and senior pastors. He cautioned that denominational lines should not be entertained for the exercise. The participants, he said should come together as one body of Christ and disciples of Christ.
