The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters in Abia State.

The anti-graft commission disclosed this in a statement released on Monday.

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested in a sting operation by operatives of the Uyo Zonal Directorate of the EFCC at Umuagu and Olokoro in Abia state on Friday, December 6.

“Items recovered from them include six exotic cars, eight laptops and 36 mobile phones.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the commission said.
