The International Aviation College, Ilorin, has organised an orientation programme for 31 students sponsored by the 16 local governments in Kwara State for the flight dispatcher course.
During the event which held recently, the Business Development Officer, Adetutu Ajayi, welcomed dignitaries to the only state-owned Aviation College in Nigeria, while the acting Rector, Captain Yakubu Okatahi, expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq and Deputy Kayode Alabi for supporting the College. He assured that the management would fulfill the state and local governments’ trust.
Also, Chairman of ALGON, Kwara State Chapter, Olajide Shonibare, thanked the government for encouraging LGAs to sponsor students for course and expressed optimism about job opportunities for the sponsored students, while the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, applauded the governor for his support and urged students to make good use of the opportunity for the overall interest of their LGs and Kwara State.
