Late arrival of materials, insufficient ballot papers and non-availability of result sheets has stalled the on going elections in parts of Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

At Kadinma Primary School, Ward 01, (Onicha-Uku) of the locality, electoral materials arrived at about 10.10am., when voting reportedly commenced.

However, the exercise was stalled mid way when it was discovered that the ballot papers were not sufficient for the number of voters who collected their Permanent Voters’Cards (PVCs).

Besides, it was also discovered that the materials did not come with result sheets, a situation that causing tension in the area.

Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu who is the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Aniocha/Oshimili constituency, expressed dismay over the shortcomings.

Elumelu who voted earlier, called on the INEC leadership in the state to address the issues.
