The Institute of Leadership, Coaching and Strategy (ILCS) has been admitted as a corporate member of the International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO), United Kingdom.

ILCS said that the admission would strengthen its global affiliations and expand professional opportunities for its members across leadership, capacity building, and strategic governance.

The ILCS President, Dr. Olasunkade Azeez, and its Registrar, Mrs Ifeoma Adeniyi, announced the development in a joint statement in Abuja on Sunday.

Azeez said the institute was established as an offshoot of the Chartered Institute of Leadership, Policy, and Strategy (CILPS), United States, and later registered in Nigeria.

“The Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy is a multi-dimensional professional body established as an offshoot of the Chartered Institute of Leadership, Policy, and Strategy, United States of America. “The Institute was subsequently registered in Nigeria on Dec. 1, 2024, with the mandate to regulate and promote responsible and disciplined leadership through research and advocacy.

“Our mission is to promote capacity building and effective strategic thrusts, for good governance through a just, equitable and fair society for the benefit of humanity.”

He said the IFTDO accreditation, aligned with ILCS’ strategy of affiliating with reputable international bodies to enhance members’ professional growth.

“The accreditation is part of the Institute’s strategy to affiliate with reputable global bodies to position it for national development and members’ professional growth.

“This will provide certifications, networking opportunities and increased professional net worth for our members across the globe.

“It also strengthens our existing affiliations with IFTDO Africa Confederation and the National Council of Centre for Management Development.”

Azeez said that IFTDO membership would provide access to global networks, research resources, conferences and professional development platforms. “The IFTDO global accreditation opens a suite of benefits that directly boost members’ professional growth through access to global thought leaders and international conferences.

“Members will also access valuable content, research and resources through the IFTDO Digital Hub and specialised measurement and reporting platforms.

“These advantages will give ILCS members stronger networking opportunities and greater global visibility.”

The institute’s president said it would leverage the partnership to expand programmes, deepen research collaboration and strengthen advocacy for national development.

The federation, founded in 1972, was said to promote innovation, inclusion and impact in workforce development across all sectors.

“Its mission is to empower the global human capability community, by fostering collaboration, enhancing networking and promoting knowledge sharing.

“IFTDO connects the world’s top leaders and HR practitioners, through a powerful platform to grow influence and drive lasting impact worldwide,” he said
