Liverpool came alive with vibrant energy as Blackfest one of the city’s leading celebrations of Black arts, heritage, and creativity lit up the runway in honour of Black History Month.
Among the standout moments of the night, Simply Sewing Couture delivered an unforgettable showcase with a breathtaking Ankara masterpiece that captivated the room from the very first step.
Set against the dramatic glow of neon lights and a red carpet runway, the model appeared like a vision of modern African elegance. The dress a sculpted mermaid silhouette crafted from luxurious Ankara spoke boldly of culture, history, and innovation. Its design combined traditional African print storytelling with the refined technique of contemporary couture, a balance that Simply Sewing Couture has become known for.

The fitted bodice, structured to perfection, highlighted the brand’s meticulous tailoring. With a neckline that framed the model beautifully and subtle contour lines that celebrated her form, the top portion of the dress exuded confidence and sophistication.
