Insights on one of Nigeria True orthodox Bishop, Bishop Marcusmore

All roads lead to the ancient city of Turda in Romania on November 2, 2025, when the Genuine Orthodox Church marks a significant milestone by elevating Bishop-elect Hieromonk Seraphim to the episcopal order as the Bishop of Lagos and Nigeria, alongside his role as vicar for the African synod.

This momentous occasion is officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Gregory and Bishop John. With many clergy of the true Orthodox Church in Romania and Bulgaria in attendance

The event draws a large congregation, with faithful from Spain, Germany, America, and Bulgaria gathering at the Holy Cross Catacombs Church. This achievement is a remarkable milestone for the Orthodox community in Nigeria, Africa, and the world at large.

The ceremony is broadcast live, allowing faithful from Angola, Congo, and Nigeria to rejoice alongside His Grace Bishop Seraphim, who hails from Ondo town in Ondo State.

Following his consecration, Bishop Seraphim visits holy monasteries across Romania, Serbia, Sofia, and Bulgaria, including the renowned Rila Monastery, where he venerates the incorruptible relics of St. John the Wonderworker and receives blessings from numerous martyrs of the faith.

He also visits the site of one of the Ecumenical Councils held in around 300 AD. In his acceptance speech, he expresses gratitude to all the faithful who participated in the event and extends his appreciation to the Archbishop Gregory and Bishop Joseph will all other priests and presbytery and othe ranks of clergy in attendance.

The Orthodox Church is the original church founded by Christ and His Apostle on the day of Pentecost about almost 2000 years ago. It’s the only church with apostolic succession who has not deviated in anyway from the path of the Apostles. No schisms No apostasy and no ecumenism.

The only ancient faith of all ages. He use this opportunity to invite all to join him in this mission for the salvation of there souls.
