Has anyone considered a world where the traditions of royalty echo corporate leadership? The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja 11) is crafting that leadership legacy. The well-revered Ooni is embracing the commonalities of management and monarchy wisely. As the spiritual head of the Yoruba, Oba Ogunwusi focuses on cultural preservation, youth inclusion, and uniting Nigeria’s traditional institutions. However, he is also ruling his business kingdom as a leader, inspired by the traditions of the past, yet agile enough to shape the future.
Ascending the throne as the 51st Ooni, Oba Ogunwusi has a mindset of economic nationalism through wealth creation, productive investment and mass employment. And he has been living by example with a bouquet of investments in manufacturing, asides his vast real estate and hospitality enterprises.

Early this year, Oba Ogunwusi unveiled his line of Ojaja beverage brands. The soft drink brand with a diverse and appealing range of flavors as well as Cola variants include Ojaja Zero Cola and Ojaja Cherry Cola, which offer both classic and modern twists for soda lovers. But the monarch’s magnum opus is the Ojaja Mall: a retail and leisure hub spread across Nigeria’s south west cities of Ife, Akure, Osogbo and the latest: Lagos.
Officially commissioned with great fanfare in November 2025, the Ojaja Mall in Lagos has quickly become a commercial landmark. Sitting grandly on approximately 18,000 square metres of premium land mass along Ogombo Road in Lekki axis of Lagos, the new facility is monumental both in scale and ambition. The mall boasts of 295 tastefully designed stores of varying sizes —many sold outright while others are leased to thriving businesses. Its ecosystem is vibrant and diverse with a whole gamut of eateries, pizza shops, boutiques, beauty parlours, gym, eye clinic, professional offices, Kiddies Park, the Ojaja AI Centre and an expansive grocery store named ‘Ojaja More’ which sells majorly Nigeria products.
Nestled within the mall are three cinema halls which rank impressively among the larger-capacity screens in the country: two halls each seat 280 guests, offering a combined capacity of 560 cinema lovers at a time, while an exclusive 30-seat VVIP theatre caters to premium private viewing. They offer a potpourri of latest Nigerian and foreign blockbuster movies to pick from. The Ojaja Mall also has an expansive bar and lounge with an indoor pool. There’s the snooker section where you can drink palm wine. It also has a well-equipped arcade that provides vibrant gaming entertainment which is conveniently located near the expansive private office of Ooni Ogunwusi as well as the offices of His Imperial Majesty’s foundation. This adds another dynamic layer to the mall experience. Whenever the monarch is present, he has a distinguished office suite where he receives guests and engages with the public.
Within the complex also sits Ojaja Suites, an elegantly appointed hospitality offering. This includes three luxuriously finished one-bedroom maisonettes —each able to rival premium penthouses in many five-star establishments across Nigeria. They are supported by 32 beautifully finished standard rooms. The day-to-day operations of this mega complex with a 360-degree drive-through are overseen by Princess Bimpe Ogunwusi, the direct younger sister to the monarch.
Indeed, Ooni Ogunwusi has truly placed substance behind sentiment. His Ojaja Mall is but one jewel in an expanding crown of investments. Through his numerous business interests, the highly respected monarch is believed to have created direct and indirect employment opportunities for between 500 and 1,000 young people: a remarkable feat worthy of widespread commendation.
