The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, have enjoined all Muslim faithful to pray earnestly to Almighty Allah for peace, stability and advancement in the country.
Gen. Musa, says he is optimistic that with the help of God and support of all Nigerians, the nation will overcome its security challenges in the shortest possible time.
The CDS, who made this known in his message to troops in commemoration of Eid-El-Maulud, assured that the Nigerian Armed Forces will not relent in its efforts to ensure peace and stability in the country.
The CDS, in a statement signed by the acting Director Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, said “It is an opportunity to thank the Almighty Allah for His blessings, protection and guidance, especially as He continues to protect us through these difficult and challenging times.
“As a very important segment of the society, the AFN we will continue to committed ourselves towards ensuring peace and stability in our country. It is our prayers that through the committment of all Nigerians the Almighty God will see us through our daunting security challenges.
“This year’s Eid-El-Maulud celebration is an opportunity for members of the AFN to imbibe the virtues of the Holy Prophet Mohammed and pray for the unity and progress of our dear nation.
“The CDS urges all Muslims to pray fervently to Almighty Allah for peace and progress in our country. He wishes us all a happy and peaceful celebrations.
The CDS uses this opportunity to once again on behalf of members of the AFN to affirm our unalloyed loyalty to the constitutional democracy under His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu President Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
