Barcelona sensation, Lamine Yamal has been ruled out of the season after limping off against Celta Vigo on Wednesday night.

This means the 18-year-old will not been available for selection for the last six games in La Liga.

Barcelona provided an update on Yamal’s injury in an X post on Thursday afternoon.

Yamal sustained the injury while scoring the winning goal for Barcelona from the penalty spot.

The club said tests carried out on the forward indicated he suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg (biceps femoris muscle).

However, he is expected to be available to represent Spain at the 2026 World Cup in USA, Mexico and Canada in June.

“The tests carried out have confirmed that first-team player Lamine Yamal has a hamstring injury in his left leg (biceps femoris muscle).

“The player will follow a conservative treatment plan.

“Lamine Yamal will miss the remainder of the season, and he is expected to be available for the World Cup,” the club said.
