The family and relatives of late Lagos monarch, Oba Lamidi Olorunfunmi of Oregun, have been advised to pursue a peaceful resolution regarding the inheritance of the deceased’s property.
Currently embroiled in a dispute over the inheritance, the family and relatives have sought the intervention of a non-governmental organization, Human Rights Monitoring Agenda (HURMA), for mediation.
During its radio programme, ‘Labe Ofin’ (Under the Law) on Radio Nigeria, HURMA’s executive director, Buna Olaitan Isiak, appealed to all parties involved to lay down their differences and embrace peace.
He urged the family and relatives to avoid actions that could tarnish the family’s reputation and to seek an amicable resolution to their disputes.
The group pleaded with the family and relative of the late monarch to sheathe their swords and embrace peace in resolving their differences.
