The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State said public display of the preliminary register of voters for claims and objections across the 33 local government areas of the state will commence on Monday April 20 and end on Sunday April 26, in line with the commission’s official timetable.
The announcement was made as the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will end today.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Prof Aderinran Rahmon Tella, who disclosed this in a media release on Thursday, stated that the preliminary register would be displayed in all 33 INEC Local Government Area offices daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
He explained that the exercise is designed to enable members of the public to verify and confirm their biometric details on the register and request corrections where necessary.

Tella added that the display would also cater to applicants seeking transfer of registration, correction of personal information, or replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
He stressed that affected individuals must visit the designated centres in person as the process could not be done by proxy.
The REC urged all eligible citizens to take full advantage of the opportunity to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the voters’ register.
He, however, warned that all claims and objections must be submitted within the stipulated period, noting that no request would be entertained after the close of the exercise.
Tella described the exercise as a critical step toward strengthening the integrity of the electoral process ahead of future elections in the state.
