The Imo State Police Command has killed two kidnappers and arrested twelve others in separate operations conducted on Tuesday.

In the first operation, police operatives from Agwa Division neutralised two kidnappers, recovered arms—including two pump-action rifles—and discovered the body of an unidentified female victim after engaging a gang of kidnappers along Obudi-Mgbala Road, according to a statement from the command’s spokesperson, Henry Okoye.

In a separate operation, the police tactical team arrested twelve suspects and recovered phones, daggers, and other items in Umuezeruokam Forest, Avu.

The Imo State Police Commissioner, Aboki Danjuma, has assured residents of continued efforts to eliminate criminal elements and maintain public safety.
