A group of prominent businessmen in Imo State, The Imo State Business Community (TIBC), has called on the newly inaugurated members of the 10th Imo State House of Assembly to come together and create people-oriented policies.

Speaking through Ojukwu Casmir, a businessman and TIBC President, alongside Samuel Chijioke Anyakamnele, the group congratulated the newly inaugurated 10th assembly members and urged them to work in synergy with the state government to deliver good governance to the people.

They commended the quality of lawmakers that make up the 10 state Assembly, stressing that the next four years would produce quality law-making for the state.

They called of them to ensure a harmonious working relationship with the executive for the people’s interest.

“When there is synergy between the legislature and executive, the people of the state benefit. Imo has suffered for long. It’s time we begin to reap proper democracy dividend. With what we have now as lawmakers and with the good job the state government under Governor Hope Uzodimma is doing, Imo is moving forward positively. We are hopeful and optimistic that we will eventually get there,” the group said.
