This just as the state commissioner for Education, Prof B.T O. Ikegwuoha has said that all First School Leaving Results and certificate from 2022 between 2025 can be assessed and printed out from the portal.
The Commissioner of Digital Economy and eGovernment, Amadi Chimezie, who announced this at press conference on Tuesday, said the groundbreaking initiative marks a significant step in the state’s ongoing digital transformation agenda, which makes it possible for citizens to access and download their FSLC certificate wherever they are, anytime.
“For years, thousands of Imo indigenes have faced major challenges in obtaining their FSLC certificates. These challenges include long travel distances, delays in processing, loss or damage of physical records, bureaucratic bottlenecks, and, in some cases, exposure to fraudulent intermediaries. These issues have affected job applications, school admissions, and other critical opportunities requiring proof of primary education.
“This initiative not only enhances convenience but also improves transparency, efficiency, and trust in public service delivery. It aligns with the broader vision of building a digitally enabled Imo State where government services are accessible, inclusive, and citizen-centric.
This solution is part of the Ministry’s commitment to |leveraging technology to solve real-life problems and unlock opportunities for Ndi Imo.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit the official portal educations.im.gov.ng to access the service and take advantage of this innovation.”
Also speaking, Professor B.T.O. Ikegwuoha, the Imo State Commissioner for Education (Primary & Secondary), explained that his ministry no longer handles cash at all.
