• As Zurumee youths back NNPP candidate

Ahead of the Imo State governorship poll, slated November 11, the Orlu Zurumee Youths have endorsed the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ben Odunzeh.
They described him as the only candidate that possesses the capacity to bring to an end, the insecurity ravaging the zone and other parts of the state.
This was contained in a communique signed by the Secretary General of the group, Desmond Ugwumba, yesterday and made available to the media.
Ugwumba lamented about they lackluster attitude of the political leaders of the zone towards the insecurity bedeviling the zone and pointed out that all efforts made by the group to call them into action proved abortive.
He described as alarming the level of unemployment in the area as part of their reasons for endorsing Odunzeh and stressed that Odunzeh, as a private man, has employed a good number of Imo people in his various establishments and Orlu zone in particular.
He said partly: “In the same vein, the high level of unemployment in Orlu zone is alarming and we honestly want political leaders and captains of Industries that would assist the youths to earn a living by providing and creating enabling environment for entrepreneurs among youths to thrive.”
According to him, Odunzeh is the candidate whose manifesto is in line with the aspirations and expectations of Orlu Zurumee Youths.
He called on Imo people to look beyond selfish interest and vote a person with the capacity to lead Imo to that promised land in the forthcoming election.
He pledged to mobilize Imo citizens towards the victory of the NNPP standard bearer in the poll with the assurances that no stone would be left unturned.
