The Head of Media for the Campaign Organisation of Ben Uche Odunzeh governorship, candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), in the November 11 poll, Joshua Elekwachi, has described him as the most qualified.
Elekwachi, in a statement yesterday, argued that the Imo State Charter of Equity was skewed against credible candidates except Governor Hope Uzodinma.
He charged voters to look beyond the treaty and back a candidate that would positively change their fortune.
He said: “This kind of Charter of Equity being promoted, should be subjected to proper scrutiny and elaborated on which Orlu son deserve the slot outside Gov Uzodinma who has been at war with Imo masses due to his style of leadership.
“It is still amazing that many who have been talking and trying to convince Ndi-Imo have often neglected those that are more qualified from the same zone.
“If we are to agree that Orlu should be allowed on the principle of Charter of equity that should not be dominated by one man at the detriment of others.
“It is the same Constitution of Nigeria grants every eligible adult the right to aspire for the governorship seat of the state. The Constitution supersedes or takes precedence over any state law including the Imo Charter of Equity.
“Who does not know that Hon Uche Ben Odunzeh, the candidate’s of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is a very credible alternative to Gov Uzodinma.
“The young man is more acceptable in the grassroots, more educated, more exposed internationally, good upbringing, humbly disposed and can fit in as the right person to represent Orlu zone on the adopted Charter of equity.
“There can never be a better person like Hon Uche Ben ODUNZEH who everybody in Orlu zone is clamoring for.
“Let Orlu people declare him their choice and watch what it will look like finally come November 11 election day proper.”
