A real estate firm, Greenland Integrated Services and Properties Ltd, has urged the Imo State government to urgently streamline land acquisition and documentation, noting that smoother processes would boost investment and speed up development.
At a staff appreciation event in Owerri, the Directors of Greenland Integrated Services and Properties Limited applauded the Imo State government for its support but urged urgent reforms in land acquisition and documentation, saying current bottlenecks are slowing real estate growth.
Company Director, Green Nnabugwu, who presented gifts to top-performing staff, said the ceremony was designed to honour exceptional commitment. Two realtors, Chinonye Joy and Courage Ugbuaja, each received a brand-new Toyota Highlander SUV for surpassing their sales targets, 52 and 32 plots respectively within two months.
According to him, the gesture reflects the company’s policy of rewarding loyalty and dedication. “Our realtors have shown exceptional commitment and dedication, working tirelessly to ensure the company’s success. We set a target, and they delivered. While we usually hold quarterly awards, this particular ceremony stands out because of the exceptional team we have and the inspiring message it sends — that success is achievable through legal and ethical work. We want to encourage young people to pursue legitimate avenues for growth and prosperity, especially in real estate,” Nnabugwu stated.
He revealed that Greenland Integrated Services has facilitated the sale of over 330 plots so far, while maintaining excellence in customer service, transparency, and genuine consultancy. The company, he said, is also preparing to host a major partners and customers’ event in October.
Nnabugwu further used the occasion to highlight challenges in the sector, calling on the government to urgently improve land acquisition and documentation processes in Imo.
“We also appreciate the Governor of Imo State for giving us the privilege to invest here. However, we are urging him to take speedy action regarding land acquisition and documentation in Imo State, as delays are adversely affecting the real estate business. Owerri, the capital of Imo and known as the Eastern Heartland, should be a focal point for real estate development,” he said.
Responding on behalf of the winners, an elated Chinonye Joy expressed gratitude: “I feel fulfilled and thankful to God. I market our estates with passion because I trust the developer’s intentions. When I first visited Green Royal Garden, the estate was just starting, but in just two months, significant developments have taken place.”
At the same event, the company also unveiled its new ambassador, Ezinne Mbano.
