From George Onyejiuwa, Owerri
The Imo State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced that it will support any presidential aspirant who wins the party’s primaries.
The party stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Owerri, Imo State capital, by its Publicity Secretary, Dr Kingsley Onochie.
Onochie debunked earlier reports claiming that the Imo ADC Chapter had thrown its weight behind Peter Obi and called for his adoption as the party’s candidate.
He further stated that it was wrong for some media houses to report that Imo ADC was supporting Obi. He insisted that it was improper for the media to suggest the party was backing a particular presidential aspirant.
