Nollywood star Annie Idibia has declared that she is not a single mother despite being estranged from her husband, legendary singer 2Baba.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, Annie clarified that she does not see herself as a single mother raising two children, adding that her kids don’t need her to be married.
While reflecting on motherhood and personal growth, Annie reposted a message by an Instagram user, #katyeneff, who identifies as a “Feminine Magnetism & Aliveness Activator”.
She wrote, “I’m not a single Mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids.
“My children don’t need me married. They need me alive. They need me true. They need me free.”

Annide Idibia added that her journey is not about “doing it alone” but about “legacy work—breaking the chains that told women to stay small, silent or suffering ‘for the kids.’
“I’m not a single mom. I’m a woman rising… and two beautiful souls rise with me.
“My peace brings them peace. My joy brings them joy. My radiance creates their safety. This is what leading a family actually looks like.
“My kids get to watch me grow. They get to watch me rise. They get to see a woman rebuilding her world with joy not bitterness. That is the greatest gift I’ll ever give them,” she said.
