The House of Representatives candidate of the Democratic Liberation Alliance (DLA) in Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo State, Taiwo Ilawole, has said he is contesting the election to ensure proper representation of youths in decision-making in the country.
Ilawole said he joined the race to give the people of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency a new voice in the National Assembly.
The former stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state said he had a clear mandate to set a new standard for youth leadership in the constituency.
He said his entry into the race was not about “politics as usual”, but about purpose and better representation for the people.
“This campaign is bigger than party lines. It is a movement for the youths who need jobs and opportunities, the market women who rise before dawn to feed their families, the students whose dreams must not be deferred, the artisans who build with their hands and the fishermen whose labour sustains our coastal economy.”
Ilawole added: “For too long, these voices have been silent in the Green Chamber. Now, it is time for those voices to be heard, respected and allowed to shape the policies that affect us directly. Let’s put party interest aside.”
He urged the people of Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, particularly youths, to support his ambition to ensure effective representation in the House of Representatives.
Ilawole also appealed to the electorate to put politics aside and support the candidate with a clear manifesto capable of bringing development to the constituency, irrespective of political affiliation.
