Former Commissioner of Police, Force criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon Lagos, Dr Sybil Olufunmilayo Akinfenwa, has said that God has used the Nigeria Police Force to make her proud and celebrate her in God’s Kingdom:
“With God’s blessings and good health, I bowed out of Nigeria Police on October 5, 2022. There were ups and downs, yet God made me a convent child. In this job, you need the confidence of the citizens to succeed.
“I did it to the amazement of many communities. I manifested sense of giving quality service to the people. I served the nation passionately to the best of my ability. I was happy because the various communities I served were satisfied with enhanced quality of life.
“Presently, I am Senior Lecturer, Department of Criminology and Security Studies, Leed City University, Ibadan, Oyo State and Minister of God’s word on facebook and the Setman Victorious Christ Chapel Church, Nigeria.
“I served the police for 32 years. I had served in various capacities at formations and commands, managing investigations, operations and administration.
“My mother, late Mrs Simbat Omolara Bakare taught me to be strong consistent and resilient. In the police, I imbibed discipline, quality service, equity, consistence and patience. If I come back to this world, I will still like to be a police officer.”
