Femi Pedro, Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Solomon Islands and the Oceanic States, has promised to represent the country with integrity and dedication during his posting.
Pedro was named among the 65 career and non-career ambassadors whose President Bola Tinubu approved their postings to various nations, according to a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga last Friday.
In a Sunday statement, the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State expressed elation at his appointment and posting, thanking President Bola Tinubu for granting him an opportunity to serve Nigeria on a global stage.
Pedro said, “I am deeply humbled and profoundly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support and goodwill messages that I have received following the announcement of my appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Australia, as well as concurrent accreditation to Seven (7) other nations including New Zealand, Fiji, Solomon Islands and the Oceanic States.
“My heartfelt appreciation goes to our leader and father of the nation, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for graciously granting me this opportunity to serve our nation on the global stage.
