Ikeja Golf Club under the captaincy of Olusina Akinyemi, has disclosed desire to promote the image of the club by renewing facilities capable of inspiring members to greater height.

This assertion was made at the closing ceremony and award night of the club 2024 captain’s day celebration whose curtain fell on Saturday, 23rd of March.

The event, which also entertained award and prize presentation, saw Akinyemi unfolding his achievements in the last 365 days. He however tagged his success a tip of iceberg compared to hidden plans yet to be executed.

“ I can say authoritatively this club is moving to next level. Our achievements and project unveiled in the last 365 days is not far fetch.”

“ Despite the harsh economy, we’re able to deck our car park, renovate the new club house, get a new sod cutter, new mowers, John Deere 800 aeration equipment, Salsco 616 wood shredder, Turbine cyclone blower, replacement of 4nrs main pavilion TV monitors, Hole 1 green expansion and the likes.”

“ I wish to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who showed unwavering support towards the 2023/24 management committee. Your love and dedication to the club has left a profound and lasting impact on me. Tonight, we gather here to honor the mighty men of valor upon whose shoulders this committee has stood and flourished,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Captain’s Day tournament prizes in veterans, super veteran, men’s winner handicap and host of other categories were presented to winners.
