Ijaw Youths Show Support for Fubara, Camp Outside Port Harcourt LGA

Ijaw youths have established a camp at the entrance to the council headquarters of Port Harcourt Local Government Area in Rivers State.

According to Daily Sun, the youths were seen gathered around multiple canopies, chanting songs, dancing, and waving the flags of the Ijaw Youth Congress.

Placards bearing solidarity messages for Governor Siminalayi Fubara were held by the youths amid heavy security presence in the area, with armed policemen monitoring the situation.

Despite the council gates being shut due to the public holiday, the Chairman of the Eastern Zone of the Ijaw Youth Council stated that he and his members firmly support Fubara and emphasized that no chairman will be allowed to stay beyond the expiration of their tenure.
