From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri

Former Imo State Governor,  Emeka Ihedioha, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at his Mbutu ward, Aboh Mbaise, saying his new party will take over Imo and Nigeria in 2027.

Ihedioha made the remark after registering with ADC, boasting that his Mbutu ward will deliver a landslide victory for the party.

“We shall pilot ADC to take over again, not only in Imo but in Nigeria, with God on our side.

“I’m happy that wherever I go my people go with me. Here at Mbutu ward, we don’t rig. We have always produced over 10,000 votes. We will repeat it. We have always won resoundingly in this ward and local government areas. We  shall pilot ADC to take over again not only in Imo but in Nigeria,” Ihedioha said.

ADC State Chairman, Dr. James Okoroma, welcomed Ihedioha, describing his ward as a “political headquarter.”

“This is the only ward that has registered up to 2,000 people. Ihedioha is a leader to watch, we will recover his lost position but I urge all of you to pray and support him. We would use ADC to change Nigeria and Imo but you all have to come together.”

South East zonal Vice chairman of the party, Chief Bon Unachukwu,  thanked Ihedioha and the Mbutu ward and expressed satisfaction with the level of supporters that have come to register with the former deputy Speaker of the federal House of Assembly.

“What he has done today will fulfill all righteousness. All should join hands to rout this cankerworm called APC out of Nigeria. With already 2,000 registered, we believe by the end of the week, 4,000 would have been registered.

Deputy National Coordinator of the Diaspora Network, Alhaji Bello Maigari Kasimu, who accompanied Ihedioha at the event attested to the fact that Ihedioha has large supporters. He also expressed confidence that the party will produce the next leaders both in the state and country in 2027.
