IGP receives 20 rescued kidnapped medical students in Abuja

The Inspector General of Police(IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, Sunday received the 20 kidnaped medical students rescued by the police and other security agencies at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The students who are still looking traumatized were accompanied by their parents, guardians, a representative of the Benue State Governor, and the Vice Chancellors of the two universities.

They would be handed over to their loved ones any moment from now.

Recall that the medical students from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos were travelling to Enugu State for the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students’ annual convention when they were kidnapped by bandits on August 15, 2024, were rescued on Friday.
