The initiator of Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship and prominent basketball promoter, Igoche Mark, has extended warm wishes to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the celebrations of Ramadan.

In his heartfelt message, Mark, in praying for the acceptance of all acts of worship performed during the holy month noted: “As we conclude this blessed month of Ramadan, I pray that Almighty Allah accepts all our acts of Ibada and reflects them in the month of Shawal.”

Speaking on the significance of Ramadan, Mark emphasized the values of discipline, empathy, and unity as the lessons that the month instilled.

“This month teaches us discipline, empathy, and unity. As we break our fasts and celebrate Eid, let’s carry forward these values in our country and beyond,” he stated.

According to him, these principles are essential for fostering a stronger, more compassionate community both on and off the court.

The Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship, a flagship event promoting youth development and sportsmanship, aligned with these values, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their talents while learning important life skills.

“Basketball is about teamwork, perseverance, and respect; values that Ramadan highlights,” Mark noted.

Mark, who has been instrumental in promoting basketball in Nigeria, urged Muslims in the country to continue striving for excellence in their endeavours. “May our fasting, prayers, and good deeds be rewarded abundantly. Let’s continue to work together to uplift our country through sports.”

In his message, Igoche Mark also highlighted the importance of nationhood and unity. “As we celebrate Eid, let’s strengthen bonds with family, friends, and fellow sportsmen in Nigeria. Together, we can achieve greater heights in Nigeria and the world at large.”

The Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship has been a catalyst for youth engagement and development in Nigeria, with plans to expand its reach in the coming years. As part of his vision, Mark aims to create more opportunities for young athletes to thrive through basketball.

“As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Igoche Mark and the Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship family wish everyone a joyous and blessed Eid celebration,” he said.
