Yoruba nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has tasked the newly appointed career and non career ambassadors to collaborate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to positively change the narratives of Nigeria’s global image and perception.
He also emphasized the crucial need for the new ambassadors to “deploy their experience and expertise as technocrats and leaders in order to excel in their respective postings.”
In a statement released on Saturday, Igboho, who lauded Tinubu on the posting of the ambassadors, advised that “Nigerians, regardless of tribes, religion, political and ethnic consideration should project the country positively despite its socioeconomic challenges.”

Recall that the President had, on Friday, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga released the posting of 65 new ambassadors, detailing their countries of primary assignments.
Igboho who appreciated Tinubu over Fani Kayode’s appointment, commended the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao.
“I, on behalf of Chief Fani Kayode, want to specifically commend President Bola Tinubu for deeming it fit to appoint him and other Yoruba indigenes as ambassadors for our diplomatic missions. This is indeed commendable.
“It is also noteworthy to thank the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao and President Bola Tinubu’s lawyer, Oluwole Afolabi, over Fani Kayode’s appointment as the nation’s ambassador to Germany,” the statement concluded.
