The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has congratulated Senator Abdulaziz Yari on his appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.
In a press release signed by its President-General, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, COSEYL described the former Zamfara State governor and serving senator as “an enigma of many parts and a proven deliverer of results.”
The group said Yari’s emergence was “not merely a political designation, but a profound recognition of a man whose political dexterity, organisational competence, strategic sophistication, and capacity for results have distinguished him within Nigeria’s increasingly complex political ecosystem.”
COSEYL characterised Senator Yari as “an astute politician, an experienced administrator, a consummate strategist, a formidable grassroots mobiliser, and a political tactician,” adding that his experience positions him to coordinate a national Acampaign of the magnitude expected in 2027.

The South East youth body expressed confidence that Yari would “transform political architecture into measurable outcomes,” noting that “where others see obstacles, he identifies pathways; where others see political turbulence, he sees opportunities for engagement.”
The group commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the choice, saying it signals the APC’s intent “to deploy experience, political architecture, and strategic coordination in its quest for victory in 2027.”
COSEYL urged stakeholders in the campaign structure to give Yari “the necessary cooperation, institutional latitude, and political goodwill” to discharge his mandate, and called on him to build “a campaign structure that is broad, inclusive, youth-oriented, and sufficiently responsive to the aspirations and anxieties of Nigeria’s diverse population.”
“Leadership should ultimately be measured not by the grandeur of titles but by the magnitude of results,” Ibem stated. “His appointment is therefore a call to duty, not merely a conferment of honour. We have confidence that he will rise to the occasion,” the group stated.
