Director for West Africa, IE University, Kachi Eke has emphasised the changing expectations of leadership in the digital age.

“Today’s business environment demands more than experience, it demands evolution. Leadership is no longer about having the right answers but about asking the right questions, fostering innovation, and developing the agility to pivot when the landscape shifts,” she said during a masterclass organised by the Nigerian office of the global institution as part of an exclusive international series tailored for prospective MBA and undergraduate candidates. Themed, “Future ready: Leading in the age of intelligent work,” the session attracted a vibrant mix of professionals, entrepreneurs and ambitious young talents eager to stay competitive in an increasingly tech-driven world.

Participants were encouraged to shift their thinking, viewing leadership not as a fixed title but as a fluid, strategic capability that must evolve with the demands of the global economy.

Organisers described the masterclass as part of IE University’s broader commitment to equipping African professionals, both emerging and established, with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in tomorrow’s world of work. Through initiatives like this, the institution aims to foster strategic dialogue and promote transformative learning across the continent.
