Enzo Maresca said Chelsea have no preference over who they face in the Club World Cup final on Sunday.

The English club beat Brazilian side Fluminense 2-0 in the first Club World Cup semifinal game on Tuesday.

Joao Pedro bagged a brace in his first start for the club.

However, Chelsea have to wait for the result of the second semifinal clash between European champions Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Asked to name his preferred final opponent, Maresca said, “They are both top teams. One won the Champions League this season, the other one last season. They are top teams but we are proud and we are happy to be there.”

Maresca guided Chelsea to their second final in three months, claiming the UEFA Conference League title in May.

He also helped The Blues qualify for the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League.

The Italian tactician said it has been a fantastic season.

“It is a great achievement. It has been a fantastic season; top four in the Premier League, Conference League and now in the final of this competition – we are so, so happy,” he stated.
