In a country where access to quality tech education remains out of reach for many, one ICT institution is making bold moves to rewrite the story.

SQI College of ICT has officially announced the opening of its 2025 ICT Scholarship Programme, offering up to 100% tuition-free training in some of the world’s most sought-after digital skills for young Africans.

Now in its 15th year, the scholarship targets young Africans residing in Africa, between the ages of 13 and 35. It aims to provide hands-on, career-driven education in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Web Design, and UI/UX Product Design.

“Too many talented young people are being left behind due to cost,” the institution said in a statement. “This scholarship is our way of changing that narrative, removing financial barriers and opening real pathways into the tech industry.”

Renowned as one of Nigeria’s most impactful grassroots tech empowerment initiatives, the SQI Scholarship has produced a growing number of success stories—many of whom have gone on to build careers at global giants including Google, Microsoft, Interswitch, Moniepoint, Deutsche Bank, and Nigerian Breweries.
