ICM-UK confers fellowship on ESCAE registrar, 24 others

The Institute of Commercial Management, UK (ICM-UK) has conferred fellowship awards on 23 Nigerians and two top officials of ESCAE Benin University.

The 25 new members of ICM-UK were recently inducted at a ceremony held in Lagos.

Among the inductees is the Registrar of ESCAE Benin University, Dr. Marius Ahonon and Dr. Mensah Jean-Hermann, registrar for IAEC Togo.

The Induction was performed by a representative of the Institute of Commercial Management, UK.

In his speech at the induction, the Chief Executive Officer of ICM-UK, Mr. Adair Ford congratulated them for choosing the path of education and professional development with the institute.

“This decision marks the beginning of a remarkable journey, a journey that will not only shape your career but also your lives in ways you may not yet fully comprehend,” he stated .

According to him, the mission of ICM-UK has been to empower individuals with knowledge, skills and values needed to thrive in the dynamic and challenging world of commerce.

Ford said the new inductees are now part of a diverse and vibrant community that spans the globe, noting, “this network is a valuable asset that will connect you with peers, mentors and opportunities from around the world.”

The ICM-UK boss tasked the 25 fellows to make the most of the opportunity and embrace the knowledge and experience that lie ahead.

Addressing the new fellows, Prof. Abba Joel Michael described ICM-UK as a reputable professional body based in the United Kingdom and established in 1979 has presence in about 140 countries with the aim of advancing the professional and academic careers of its members.

Prof. Michael, who is the CEO of Divine Doxology Global Limited said the institute has three levels of professional members and also runs a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Graduate Diploma and post- graduate Diploma.

He further disclosed that the institute provides competency-based qualifications (CBQ) to artisans in seven vocations by partnering training centres to facilitate the certification process.

His words: “The ICM-UK qualifications have the potency of enhancing their employability and bargaining power beyond the shores of their countries of residence.”

Amongst the programmes of ICM-UK are also short executive courses for higher managerial levels of candidates.

Professional diploma, which are all certified by the ICM UK, and certificates are acceptable and highly recognized globally.

An awardee of ICM-UK fellow, Mr. Christogonus Njoku said he is excited to be inducted into the prestigious UK institute.

He added: “The Institute of Commercial Management, UK, in collaboration with Divine Doxology Global, are giving vibrant individuals who desire to succeed the opportunity through different programmes, with flexibility. In the wake of stringent immigration laws, this collaboration is bridging the gap in knowledge acquisition through institutions of higher learning.”

Njoku said the fellowship award of the ICM-UK, is an enrollment into the global echelon of corporate management, development and influence.

He encouraged young people in Nigeria to take advantage of the opportunities being provided by Divine Doxology Global to have a taste of foreign education while at home, and keep retraining oneself, because knowledge is power.

Another fellow inductee, Dr. Isah Rabiu said he is highly elated with the fellowship award conferred on him to work for the development of the society or a cause that he feels passionately about.

Dr. Rabiu said the fellowships would equip bright individual with knowledge and necessary practical experience to drive positive change in the future.

“As a fellow it presents an opportunity to acquire valuable skills and knowledge that will help to improve my confidence and personal development. I hope to gain an in-depth knowledge of the latest technology, practices, and innovations in my area of expertise,” he added.
