The Institute of Charterd Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), has scheduled to hold its 52nd annual conference between October 10 and 14, 2022.
A statement by the Rgistrar/Chief Executive of the Institute, Prof Ahmed M. Kumshe, FCA, said the conference themed: Nigeria; adapting sustainability for economic prosperity, would be held at the International Conference Centre and Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
He said the plenary sessions would include sustainability and innovative tax, sustainability reporting to achieve SDGs and green economy as well as digital transformation. Others would include mega trends in the accountancy profession, transition to clean sustainable energy and the Nigerian economy, deepening market offerings for a sustainable Nigerian economy as well as opportunities for entrepreneurial chartered accountants.
He said participants would be treated to special attractions like business exhibitions, sports such as Golf, Chess, Table Tennis, Scrabble, Lawn Tennis competition and Novelty Football Match as well as happy hour evening of variety Gala nite/dinner with live performance by reputable musician and a standby DJ. There will also be a raffle draw, where at least one car as the star prize and many consolation prizes would be won. Also, the draw will attract free access to conference App to view Conference activities live and discounted airfare by Conference official airlines.
Kumshe noted that registration for the conference was strictly online at ICAN website and participation was also open to non-members.
He said the Institute would also provide all necessary safety measures against COVID-19 pandemic at the conference venue and hotels with strict adherence to NCDC COVID-19 protocols for the duration of the conference.
