Nollywood actress, Chioma Okafor, has vowed never to marry within the showbiz industry.
Opening up to Saturday Sun recently, the Anambra State-born Business Administration graduate said: “I can’t marry an actor. But I can marry a politician. Who knows? I could become one too. But I can’t be a second wife to anyone. I can’t do that. It’s not in my dictionary. My love is not for sharing.”
The Domitila star actress further hinted that her parents initially didn’t give their consent when she ventured into movies. “They were not excited at first. When I filled Theatre Arts in my JAMB form, my mother told me that I would have to pay my school fees by myself. So, I had to put Business Administration, my second choice. However, when they saw it was acting or nothing for me, they had to embrace my choice of career. And when her friends in church started saying ‘your superstar daughter is doing well’ she had to calm down,” Chioma noted.
