Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has denied reports that she tendered an apology to the Senate over her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
In a terse statement, she reaffirmed her stance, declaring that she would never apologise for speaking the truth.
“The desperation to silence me is palpable, but I will not be intimidated,” she said, dismissing the viral report of her supposed apology as false.
She insisted that her suspension was “a clear case of political victimisation” aimed at suppressing her voice. She maintained that her allegations against Akpabio were not frivolous and vowed to persist in her pursuit of justice and accountability.
A defiant Akpoti-Uduaghan added: “I will continue to fight for the rights of Nigerian women and ensure that our voices are heard,” she declared, urging Nigerians to disregard the reports of her alleged apology.
