Benfica coach, Jose Mourinho has spoken about the red card he earned during his team’s 2-2 draw with FC Porto in the Portuguese top division on Sunday.

The act sparked a heated exchange with Porto’s coaching staff, eventually leading to Mourinho’s dismissal.

In the aftermath, Mourinho vehemently denied the referee’s explanation for his dismissal, which was based on allegations that he kicked the ball towards Porto’s bench.

“I wasn’t targeting their bench,” Mourinho stated in his post-game comments.

“I kicked the ball to the stands to give lucky fans a chance (to get a match ball).

Mourinho also took issue with Lino Gondinho, a member of Porto’s coaching team, who reportedly called him a “traitor 50 times” during the game.

“I would like him to explain what I have betrayed. Because I gave all my heart and soul to Porto,” he said.
