• My covenant with God inspired my foundation that has empowered thousands
• There’s no true love in the entire Christian family

By Kehinde Aderemi

In the town of IdoFaboro, headquarters of IdoOsi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, young Sam OluAlo whispered a promise to the Almighty God that would shape the course of his entire life.

That covenant— sealed in prayer, tears, and unwavering faith— has become the crux of his ministry and the foundation of his ministry – Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, that he now leads.
In an encounter with Saturday Sun, the cleric opened up about his humble beginnings, the relentless challenges that tested his resolve, and the divine roadmap that guided him to fulfill God’s purpose.

From the moment he first felt the weight of that sacred pact, OluAlo’s journey has been a testament to how a single, steadfast covenant can transform a modest boy into a prophetic voice for Nigeria and beyond.

Tell us about your growing up days. Where you were born, what schools did you attend, and so on?
I was born in a town called Ido Faboro in IdoOsi Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

My growing up was full of experiences. I came from a family of six, I was the second born and the first son of my family.

My father was not a rich man but he tried his best to train us in the way of God. Until his death about three years ago, my father remained a man of God who believed in the service of the lord. He tried his best to give the best training to all his children.

What were the challenges you faced while growing up?
While growing up, I faced a lot of challenges that almost claimed my life. It got to a stage when things became worse and I couldn’t cope with the challenges. I eventually left Ekiti Parapo College, where I was doing well as one of the students, and came down to Ado Ekiti to be trained as a bricklayer.

As I engaged in the training, I also did a side hustle as an Okada rider to survive. I left my town with a pair of clothes and trouser in 1998, because of the challenges.

For six months, I was nowhere to be found, I left my family and started living in the bush. I lost hope, and none of my family could locate me. That was the dark side of my growing up and I faced the challenges with a covenant to God that if God should bless me I will be a blessing to humanity.

I worked as a bricklayer at the Covenant University owned by Bishop David Oyedepo. I also worked as a bricklayer at the Ado Ekiti General Hospital. I also worked in Abuja and even here in Lagos.

These are some of the places I worked as a bricklayer then. As an Okada rider, I worked at Aba Igbira, located at Adebayo in Ado-Ekiti. I was one of those that established the Okada park at Opopogbooro in Ado-Ekiti.

When and how did you get into ministry? What were you doing before then?
I received the call to serve God in the year 2000. But as a bricklayer, I didn’t want to engage in any spiritual work. Though, I lived a life of a believer but I was in the midst of vagabonds.

Any opposition from your family?
None of them could trace me at the time because I left home at the peak of that problem and I couldn’t return home until about 25 years after. I returned home to a rousing welcome, and I was treated like a king because by then God had fulfilled his purpose in my life.

Though, before my eventual return to my father’s house, I had been going to my town for spiritual crusade, I had never been to my father’s house until after 25 years when God completed all the battles from my homestead. And that was in year 2020. I was out of my family home for almost three decades before I returned home.

You have made great impact in the lives of many. What inspired this ?
Yes, I had a covenant with God that if God in His infinite mercy could bless me, I will be a blessing to humanity. That was my covenant with God. It all boils down to my previous life experiences, the challenges and how God had used those experiences to shape my life.

My family and everybody that had had one thing or the other to do with me in life knew that I was determined to be of help to anybody that came my way.

That was my covenant with God and that was the reason I decided to live my life, my calling, my ministry by that covenant. God has used me to establish a new radio station in the town and majority of the employees are young Nigerians. The name of the radio station is Adamimogo station 107.7 FM.

I also established Adamimogo Football Club in 2022 to impact humanity. Football is a big business in the world and its impact on the youth cannot be over-emphasized.

The club is playing in Nigeria league and they are doing well. Some of our players are now playing in foreign leagues.

Players of Adamimogo club are both Muslims and Christians. We have players from the North and Eastern parts of the country.

Football is a universal language and we don’t discriminate. It is strictly to impact the lives of the youth and we are achieving that gradually with the club.

Tell us about your empowerment programme
I have been engaging in empowerment programmes for the past 15 years and many people that have been empowered still testify to the glory of God.

Many Nigerians have been empowered through the ministry because this was my covenant with God. Those that have no jobs have been engaged. Those that have no business at all have been trained in various areas and they were given start-up capital to start their businesses.

Giving generously to people that didn’t have is an integral part of my being and that is why I have been doing everything that is possible to make sure that I impact people’s lives positively.

For instance, last Sunday at the conclusion of our 12- day fasting and prayers programme titled “Days of Joy” Ojo Ayo, we empowered over 1000 people during the programme.

As we lift the souls of believers, we empowered them both spiritually and economically. That is part of my calling since inception.

God has given me the grace to use the programme to fulfil God’s purpose in the lives of every participant.

The most inspiring story was that of a 23-year-old young man that had lost touch with God for years and was about to end his life when he encountered God’s grace through the ministry.

Eri- Oluwa Adekanbi was a yahoo boy, but God changed his story through the ministry.

He was trained as a fashion designer and to the glory of God, he has four sewing machines to begin his fashion business now.

We cannot continue to win souls when believers are jobless and cannot afford the basic things of life. But when people are happy and rich economically, they would also be empowered spiritually. That is why we have been trying our best to take people away from poverty and empowering them through the ministry.

I have lost count of the numbers of the beneficiaries that had benefitted in the empowerment programme in the last 15 years. Very soon, I will donate two patrol vehicles, motorcycles and two- way sophisticated radios- walkie-talkies and some cash as part of assistance aimed at boosting security operations in the community for Ido-Osi Local Government Area in Ekiti State.

Also, next week, we shall empower more than 4000 people with cash gifts. And during the Yuletide, we are giving Ankara, and food as gifts.

Over the years, I have embarked on free scholarship awards for indigent students, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. I buy books, school bags and other writing materials for schools.

What lessons has life taught you?
Life has taught me that there is nothing in life. Life is ephemeral. It is not something you can lean on. Where are the powerful men of yesterday? They are gone. Those of us that are here today will also go the way of all flesh. It is just a matter of time and none of us will leave this world alive.

I do tell people that life is nothing and they should live it as it is. I tell people to ask themselves the three most eternal questions in life that no one knows. When? How and where will I die?

Even none of us will know those that will take care of our body. These are eternal questions that we must be conscious of as human beings.

How about your family? Is your wife involved in running the ministry?
My family is doing well in the ministry. My wife is doing her best and she has been very supportive in the ministry. We bless God.

How do you relax?
Given the nature of my calling, I am always on the move. I have little time to relax, even when I relax, I am doing other assignments for God and to the glory of God, the ministry is expanding beyond the Nigerian shores.

We have our branches in America, United Kingdom, Finland, and also in Canada and God has been faithful to us also in some countries in Africa.

Do you agree that there are targeted attacks against Christian communities in parts of the country?
In my view, the bandits are killing more Christians than the Muslims because the figures are there. But it is sad that our leaders have not done enough to salvage the spate of insecurity in the country.

There have been some recurring concerns about internal disagreements within Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Christian Association Nigeria. As someone in the fold, how do you view these tensions?
I have said it severally that there is no true love in the entire Christian family. There is need for all Christian organisations to unite. That is the only way we can have lasting peace and unity in the country. As far as I know, God is the God of unity. God’s gospel thrives in unity. Even in heaven, there is no disparity. God is one and He is the unifying spirit of the heaven and earth.

What steps do you believe Christian bodies need to take to strengthen unity and present a coherent front on issues affecting believers?
Until we come together as one, united voice under the spiritual umbrella of God, we cannot achieve much as Christians. Love and unity is the only mandate given to Jesus Christ from heaven.

If the Christian Apostolic Church, the Cherubim and Seraphim, the Catholic, Anglican and the Pentecostal churches see themselves as one united Christian Church that worships the same God, then we will have peace.

Let us preach the gospel of love. Let us live with love. Let us demonstrate love by allowing peace to reign among Christians and we will solve all issues affecting Christians as a whole.
