Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has expressed admiration for Nigerian singer Davido, describing him as a kind-hearted person who wants those around him to succeed.
Speaking in an interview, Zubby Michael said he regards the singer as a good person and praised his willingness to support others.
He also spoke about his personal interactions with the singer, noting that he is always excited whenever they meet.
“I love Davido so much. He’s a great guy. He has a good heart. I love people not by what they possess physically, but spiritually. OBO has a pure heart. He wants people around him to succeed, and that’s golden,” he said.
He disclosed that he ran up to the singer the first time they met, making videos and shouting ‘OBO’. Zubby added that his action stirred criticism from other people who felt he was bringing himself down with his reaction.
“People were like, ‘Are you mad? Don’t you know you’re a superstar? Why are you bringing yourself down?’ I told them, ‘Are you stupid? You’re not in any position to tell me how to react. I love the young man and I’m crazy about him,’” he added.
Zubby also disclosed that the singer gave him his first private jet experience, a gesture he said he will never forget.
