I didn’t abuse Tinubu – Akitoye, ex-PDP scribe

By Vincent Kalu

The former acting National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Remi Akitoye, has denied abusing the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a press statement personally signed by him, and made available to Saturday Sun, he insisted that some criminal elements who know that, he is a staunch PDP member used his picture to attach to a write-up, insulting and abusing Tinubu and then circulated the same in the social media.

He said: “I have never abused Tinubu; I will never abuse him even though we belong to different political parties, or abuse anybody because I’m a very peaceful person. There is no reason whatsoever to Abuse Tinubu; what for? I remain a core party man and will always stand against anyone who talks ills of our presidential candidates: Atiku Abubakar; Peter Obi, and especially Tinubu, who has done great things for Lagos State.”
