Hunt down criminals, Niger CP charges officers

Commissioner of Police, Niger State, Mr Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, has charged officers to hunt down criminals for peace to reign in the state: “The command is enhancing its capabilities to combat emerging security threats. We have clamped down on kidnappers and armed robbers arresting 20 suspects in their various hideouts.

“The officers diligent are carrying out their duties, especially since the protest that started on August 1, 2024. They apply professionalism with specific training in fields such as investigation and charge suspects to court.

“Police operatives arrested 10 suspected armed robbers terrorising Suleja axis. The operatives raided their hideouts and recovered AK-47 rifles, magazines, pump action, 40 cartridges and cutlasses.

“The Anti-Kidnapping Squad (AKS) operatives clamped down on another set of suspected kidnappers in Mima Nasko, Magama Local Government and recovered some dangerous weapons.

“Police raided hideouts of hoodlums in Paiko LG and recovered cutlasses and guns. We have restored peace in the state.

“We appreciate members of the public for given us useful pieces of information. That enabled us to flush hoodlums out of the state. We also appreciate the state government for its support of operational vehicle to checkmate the hoodlums.”
